FAQ

Our school photography service combines the exceptional quality and personalized attention of a small, local studio with modern techniques and an artistic approach. Using professional lighting and an innovative headshot style, we capture stunning portraits of every child. Following the session, families are granted access to their own private online gallery containing a minimum of 5 images to select from, with the option to purchase digitals, prints, or a combination of both.

No. By using the same software and backend workflow that the big box companies use, we can manage a high volume of students with minimal errors and speedy turnaround times. We can also produce student ID cards, composite class portraits, and more.

Yes. We can create a sign-up form for sibling registration. Parents usually bring the children before class begins.

It takes about an hour to photograph an elementary class of 20-30 students. In order to maximize instructional time, we suggest handling picture day in one of these ways:

• Have a staff member or parent volunteer bring 5-7 students to the photo location at a time. Continue teaching the other children in your classroom.

• Divide the class in half and send half to the photo location with another staff member or parent volunteer. Teach a 1/2 hour lesson to the remaining students. Then switch.

• If the photo location is conducive, take the entire class to the photo location and teach a lesson there. Some teachers use this time for class recitation/memorization, or they have the children bring spelling workbooks or reading books.

Following the last day of school photos, galleries are ready within one week. Parents receive a 20% discount within the first ten days of the galleries being active, and they can choose free bulk-shipping to the school during that window, as well. Digital images are delivered immediately. Bulk shipping takes 2-3 weeks from the last day of the early-order window. Prints shipped directly to the home take 1-2 weeks.

We have a template for the spreadsheet we will need in order to load up the class lists and (eventually) proof the images to the parents. We will provide this to the school office, along with our photo day flyer with the customized schedule and dress expectations for your school.

We need an indoor space where we can set up our 10×10 mobile studio. Rec rooms, fellowship halls, cafeterias, empty classrooms, and foyers/entryways all work well.

At the elementary and preschool level, we photograph a few classrooms per day. This may mean one grade level per day if there are several classrooms per grade level, or we may do more than one grade per day. We like to photograph between 40 and 60 students per morning, finishing up by 10:30am. We make it a priority to photograph the children before they go out for recess, as we like them looking their best!

At the high school and middle school level, we spend about a minute per student and can stay throughout the school day to photograph about 100 students per day. We ask that students not be required to dress out for PE on picture day.

We are in the East County of San Diego, but we have photographed schools as far away as Carlsbad. We serve El Cajon, Chula Vista, Spring Valley, La Mesa, and more.
